Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement reliable and secure network systems, including LAN, WAN, and VPN infrastructures.
• Set up, monitor, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance to ensure optimal uptime and identify potential issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues and outages, both remotely and on-site.
• Implement and manage network security protocols, such as firewalls, encryption, and VPNs to safeguard the company's network.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to prevent unauthorized access and potential breaches.
• Perform regular updates and patching of network hardware and software to ensure they are secure and up-to-date.
• Manage network resources and configurations and implement necessary improvements to meet evolving business needs.
• Provide network and laptop support to employees and assist with troubleshooting issues.
• Educate and train staff on best practices for using the network securely and efficiently.

Expectations

• Industry-related experience as a Network Engineer. Must have good knowledge of networks and network configuration.
• Must explore and solve various network issues logically and securely.
• Understand various network security components such as firewall, access control, and VPNs.
• Good knowledge of various kinds of networks and network configuration.
• Collaborate and work with the team to bring out effective solutions for networking issues.
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols.
• Familiarity with access control models and network security.
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (Grafana and Prometheus network tools).
• Sharp troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
• Organizational and mentoring skills.
