On Wednesday, 28th January 2026, at around 7:12 PM, the Samikshya Portal was officially inaugurated at the Chief Minister’s Conference Hall, located inside Lok Seva Bhawan, Odisha State Secretariat, Bhubaneswar. The portal was launched by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, in the presence of senior government officials and project partners.

 

The launch of Samikshya marks an important step towards making governance more transparent, accountable, and citizen-friendly across Odisha.

What is the Samikshya Portal?

The Samikshya Portal is an online platform developed by the Government of Odisha to help citizens see and track development projects funded under the State Finance Commission (SFC) and Central Finance Commission (CFC).

It shows projects implemented by Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs) and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across rural and urban areas of Odisha.

The purpose of the portal is simple:
to help citizens understand what development work is happening in their area and how public funds are being used.

Through this portal, citizens can:

  • View development projects in their locality
  • Check project status from approval to completion
  • See financial details such as sanctioned amount, expenditure, and balance
  • Access all information without any login

All information is presented using maps, dashboards, and simple visuals, making it easy for everyone to understand.

Using the Samikshya Portal is easy and open to all:

  1. Visit the official website samikshya.odisha.gov.in
  2. Click on the Odisha state map
  3. Select your district
  4. Choose Rural or Urban area
  5. Select Block and Gram Panchayat (for rural) or ULB and Ward (for urban)
  6. View detailed project and fund information on the dashboard

Citizens can see project stages such as approval, work order issued, work started, and work completed, along with financial progress.
