On 1st October 2025, the Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (BSEDC) officially launched Next Gen Jaankari 2.0, a major upgrade of Bihar’s RTI system. The new portal has been developed by Luminous Infoways, and it aims to make the RTI process faster, easier, and more transparent for everyone.

For nearly two decades, the Jaankari system has enabled citizens to submit RTI requests through a call centre and web portal. But as technology and expectations grew, Bihar needed a more modern and user-friendly system. Jaankari 2.0 is the answer.
