During the 26th Foundation Day, a truly beautiful moment captured the essence of the entire journey. Shri Ashok Kumar Pattnaik (Former Judicial Member, Central Administrative Tribunal), who has known the founders closely since their early days, and has seen their journey from near, began his speech with “Namaskar & Jai Jagannath” and shared a very simple yet powerful story that stayed with everyone present.

He spoke about a snail race. Many snails had started the race together, but some left after seeing the crowd, some got tired and stopped halfway, and few got distracted along the way. Yet, there were two snails who kept moving slowly and steadily. They did not listen to negativity, did not get distracted, and remained focused on their path, continuing forward no matter what, listening to their heart and blessings of God, elders and well-wishers, without listening to the noise around them. They stayed focused on their path and finally reached their destination.

Smiling, he said those two snails are none other than “Tannu & Jaya,” as he fondly referred to the founders or calls them and compared their journey to a snail race.

It was a simple story, but everyone present over there could instantly understand its deeper meaning, success comes to those who keep going, no matter the pace or the challenges comes along the way.

In that one story, the journey of Jayashree Ma’am and Tanmay Sir was beautifully reflected.

Back in 2001, when the company started, it was not a big beginning. There were no large teams, no big offices, and no grand plans visible from the outside. It began quietly with simple work like website development and multimedia services. At that time, the digital world was still growing, and opportunities were not as accessible as they are today. But often, the simplest beginnings carry the strongest intentions.

As the years passed, the journey was not always smooth. Like any venture built from scratch, there must have been moments of doubt, pressure, and difficult decisions. Only a founder truly understands what it means to carry responsibility every single day and still keep moving forward. What made the difference here was consistency. Instead of rushing, they kept learning, adapting, and growing step by step.

From those early days, Luminous Infoways gradually expanded into the IT domain, taking up bigger responsibilities and building trust across sectors. One of the proud milestones in this journey has been achieving CMMI Level 5, progressing from Level 3 over the years. This reflects strong processes, quality work, and continuous effort.

CMMI Level 5

On 18th April 2026, this long journey came together at the Bhubaneswar Club, where the company celebrated its 26th Foundation Day. The event was attended by family members, dignitaries, Rotarians, and the entire Luminian family, making it feel more like a warm gathering than a formal function.

The celebration was graced by Shri Hemant Sharma (IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries, Home and I&PR Department, Government of Odisha), and Dr Tapan Kumar Chand (Former CMD, NALCO). Other distinguished guests included Shri Arun Kumar Rath (Former Education Secretary, Government of India), Shri Ashok Kumar Pattnaik (Former Judicial Member, Central Administrative Tribunal), and Shri Anil Kumar Samal (Former RDC and Governor 2026–27, RI District 3262), along with many respected members from different fields.

During the event, Tanmay Sir shared the vision for the future and expressed gratitude to the people of Odisha and the Government for their continuous support. Jayashree Ma’am spoke about the journey in a simple and heartfelt way, explaining how the organisation has grown over the years and contributed to employment generation. With hundreds of employees and steadily growing, the company is now moving towards crossing the 1000 mark, reflecting its consistent progress.

One of the key highlights of the evening was the launch of Doc 360 – Enterprise Knowledge Assistant, an AI-based platform designed to make document management and knowledge sharing easier for organisations. Built as an Agentic AI platform, it is a self-learning system with an advanced DMS (Document Management System) inbuilt. It can understand information, respond to queries, and help teams work more efficiently. It can also be integrated with existing systems and customised as per organisational needs.

Over the years, the organisation has worked on many impactful projects such as RTI Monitoring Systems for Odisha and Bihar, VAT Automation Systems for Himachal Pradesh and Maharashtra, Prison Management Systems in Uganda, and numerous solutions for organisations like SAIL and other PSUs. Platforms like e-Blood Bank, e-File+, and Recruitment Systems have also helped many institutions work more smoothly.

From a single office in Bhubaneswar, the company has now expanded its presence to cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Ranchi, Guwahati, Shimla, and Kohima. This growth shows how trust and consistent effort can take a small beginning to many places.

The Foundation Day celebration also included an employee recognition ceremony, where team members were appreciated for their dedication and contribution. These moments remind us that behind every successful organisation, there is a team that works quietly with commitment.

Another important step was the signing of an MoU with Maven Silicon, Bengaluru, focusing on semiconductor skilling and capacity building, showing readiness for future opportunities.

The evening ended with music, conversations, and dinner, but what stayed with everyone was a deeper feeling of being part of a journey. Because 26 years is not just a number. It is years of effort, challenges, learning, and belief.

When we look at Luminous Infoways today, we see a successful company. But if we look closely, we see a simple story of two people who started small, stayed strong during difficult times, and kept moving forward, just like those two snails.

And perhaps that is what truly defines this journey, not how fast they moved, but the fact that they never stopped.

Media coverage was also seen across newspapers and digital platforms. Here is a glimpse of the celebration covered by Pratidin TV & India News Diary coverage.
